Anderson Rangers
The Anderson Rangers were a Texas Rangers professional baseball affiliate in the Class A Western Carolinas League for just one year, 1975. They were based in Anderson, South Carolina.
Managed by Rich Donnelly, the club finished second out of the league's four teams in the season's first half and third in the second half, posting an overall record of 67-70. The offense was led by first baseman Gary Gray, who hit .302 with 18 homers, and shortstop Tim Brookens, who hit 12 home runs and made the league's All-Star team. Danny Tidwell anchored the rotation with 7 wins and a 3.16 ERA, and reliever Don Bright led the circuit with 14 saves. Future Toronto Blue Jays star Jim Clancy went 6-13 with a 3.83 ERA for the '75 Rangers.
